About Stroop Test

The Stroop Effect is a famous phenomenon in psychology. It demonstrates that when the brain receives two conflicting visual information at the same time, processing speed slows down and errors are more likely to occur.

In this test, you will see some words representing colors (such as "RED", "BLUE"), but the font color of these words may not match the meaning of the words themselves (for example, "RED" written in blue font). Your task is to ignore the font color and select the meaning of the word itself as quickly as possible.

Because our brain is accustomed to automatically recognizing colors, when the text content conflicts with the color, we need to deliberately suppress this automatic reaction and focus on the text content instead. This greatly tests the brain's executive control and interference control abilities. The test is limited to 60 seconds, see how many questions you can answer correctly! In daily life, maintaining clear vision helps the brain recognize text more quickly, thereby reducing the burden of this cognitive conflict to some extent.
